USP Director Dan Epstein has been appointed by the Mayor of London to be one of the new London Sustainable Development Commission (LSDC) Commissioners.

The LSDC was established in 2002 to advise the Mayor on making London a ‘sustainable world city’.

The current priorities for the LSDC are:

  • London Infrastructure Plan 2050
  • Circular Economy
  • Energy
  • Green Economy

The LSDC is made up of experts from the economic, social, environmental and London governance sectors, and led by the Prime Minister’s envoy on climate change, LSDC Chair Greg Barker MP.

Commissioners are tasked with advising the Mayor on sustainability issues in the capital, promoting sustainability and helping to embed it into London-wide strategies.
