Kell Jones

Researcher

Kell is currently working towards an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) at UCL, researching the barriers to adoption of unconventional materials in the built environment.  He joined the Trust after a career in architecture planning and delivering buildings across sectors.  His move furthers his career aim to foster sustainability in the built environment; an aim crystallised towards the end of a successful career as a Chartered Accountant and business adviser.

Kell is also interested in the adoption of BIM in the industry, how this can be used to deliver enhanced sustainability and more effective assessment of building sustainability, and the gap between predicted and delivered performance.

He also has a passion for learning about Japanese culture and history.
