WRAP Water Efficiency Case Study Published

By Jo Dobson

A case study for WRAP, written Jo Carris, has recently been published online.

The case study is about the process for delivering water efficiency on the London Olympic Park.  It describes how the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) set an agenda for water efficiency and embedded this in design briefs, the procurement process and contracts for buildings on the Olympic Park.

Our involvement with the Olympic Park Water Strategy goes back quite a few years.

Back in 2007, Judith, Fred and Ed provided strategic advice to the ODA on the Olympic Park Water Strategy. They developed the Water Strategy to enable the project to meet its sustainable development targets, with regards to water supply, foul and surface water drainage. The strategic approach, detailed water demand modelling, production of clear technical guidance to project teams, and early engagement with the supply chain were fundamental to the success of the Water Strategy.

The WRAP case study builds on our work with the Olympic Sustainability Learning Legacy Programme.
