A huge amount of work was carried out on the Olympic Park to deliver the most sustainable Games ever, from heroic land contamination remediation to pioneering water and energy systems, innovative use of materials, and early planning to ensure a sustainable legacy for east London. We worked with the Olympic Delivery Authority to capture the challenges, achievements and lessons learnt from the sustainable design and construction of the Olympic Park, co-authoring 15 papers.

We have applied the learning from London 2012 to other projects we are currently working on, including the Sustainability Strategy for the Rio 2016 Olympic Park Masterplan.

During 2012, Dan, Jo and Judith gave Breakfast Sessions and Master Classes as part of the UK Green Building Council’s programme of London 2012 Sustainability Lessons Learned events.
