Royal BAM Group nv is a construction firm with ten operating companies in five European home markets and in niche markets worldwide. BAM’s operating companies are active in the business lines Construction and Property, Civil engineering, as well as in Public-private partnerships.

We worked closely with the Royal BAM Group sustainability team to develop their organisational sustainability strategy.  This included gaining a deep understanding of BAM Group’s sustainability and project management activities across the 10 Operating Companies, and developing a Sustainability Framework with supporting guidance and templates.  Working with our sister company Thomas Matthews, we also developed communication approaches that could be adopted including narratives, language and tone in response to the identified need to make sustainability tangible.

BAM chose to work with Useful Projects because of our deep understanding of the design and construction industry, and how to implement sustainability on projects and within an organisation – as well as our sustainability technical expertise and sustainability communications expertise under one roof – enabling us to deliver high impact projects efficiently.
