A key part of our international work is building understanding and sharing best practice across a range of city systems.
Over the course of the last few years, we have designed and facilitated city and infrastructure tours for a range of government organisations.
The themes of the tours have varied from water infrastructure, urban housing and regeneration, rail projects to city-to-city innovation.
Most recently, we took Brazilian representatives from the Municipalities of Sao Paulo and Vitoria on a tour of UK cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and London on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Through the tour we explored innovations across smart technologies, data management, citizen engagement, urban mobility and financial mechanisms for infrastructure delivery.
Participants in the tours have commented that because of our subject matter expertise, we are able to draw out key insights providing comparisons with other approaches and references to a wide range of international examples. This approach fosters rich discussion and deepens the learning experience.
