The University of Westminster (UoW) have ambitious goals around the sustainable development of their Central London estate. We are working with the sustainability and estates teams to develop a Sustainable Building Standard to set out and communicate the university’s sustainability vision, objectives and specific building targets.

The Standard sets out the expected standards and sustainability brief for all building works carried out for the UoW, including refurbishments (large and small), new builds and sustainability upgrades. It is part of the university’s consistent approach to achieving sustainability on capital projects, across the university estate. To support delivery of the standard we are also developing a process and supporting excel-based tool to fully embed sustainability within refurbishment and new build projects.
