Jo leads Useful Projects on a day-to-day basis and plays a key role in both business development and project delivery.
She is a Chartered Environmentalist with an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, and is a PRINCE2 certified project manager. Jo is particularly interested in helping clients to establish their sustainability goals, and supporting them to achieve this in practice at the organisational and project level. She also enjoys working with industry institutions to develop best practice guidance that helps the whole built environment sector make progress. Her areas of expertise include social value, circular economy, the transitition to net zero and sustainable procurement.
Jo has won the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Excellence Award, completed the UKGBC Future Leaders Programme and has been one of Building Magazine’s Top 50 Rising Stars of Sustainability.
She is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Circular Economy Panel for London, the UKGBC Social Value Taskforce and is a STEM Ambassador.
