Graduate Sustainability Consultant

Alex holds a MSc in Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure from Imperial College London, and a BA in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Alex takes a multidisciplinary approach to his work, embedding deep technical knowledge of materials science in broader sustainable development paradigms, including circular economy, carbon reduction, and regenerative design.

He has worked on a variety of projects including carbon footprint calculations, sustainability impact assessments, and materials research for construction clients. This is further to a workshop on global critical materials flows and supporting the development for multiple-proprietary carbon footprint calculation tools.

During his studies, Alex developed an in-depth understanding of the physical properties of the world’s most widely used materials, with a research specialism in low-carbon and bio-based options. He has focused on practical solutions to material barriers in sustainable development through research projects and an investigation into the Circular Economy for UK infrastructure development.
