Martha holds a first class degree in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh and following this completed an MSc in Sustainability Science, Policy and Society at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Combining both these interests she is motivated to create a more regenerative built environment.
During her MSc Martha conducted research for her thesis examining the role of collaboration in slowing the loop in the UK construction industry. This involved her interviewing a variety of stakeholders within the supply chain and creating actionable recommendations for both practitioners and industry.
Since joining Useful Projects Martha has worked on a research project that has examined how Belfast can maximise wider benefits from real estate investment. She has also investigated best practice waste management strategies and applied these suggestions to different contexts.
