LSE Future Trends Study

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) has commissioned us to conduct a study of external trends that might present risks or opportunities for LSE. The ‘PESTLE’ study is investigating changes across political, economic, societal, technological, legal and environmental spectrums.

From climate change and pressure on resources, globalisation, rapid technological advancements, cultural shifts in student expectations, to evolving Mayoral priorities, the changes are far-reaching and present both risks and opportunities. Institutions are seeking to understand these trends, and use that knowledge to inform their strategic planning. The most successful organisations anticipate trends, adapt their strategy to take advantage of changes to improve their performance, and continue to look ahead and evolve their strategies accordingly.

The aim of the study is to enable LSE to make fully-informed decisions on strategic planning and sustainability management, by understanding how LSE could be impacted by a range of external factors.
